News: Firm Reaches $725,000 Settlement on Behalf of 17 Car Wash Workers

Two lawsuits filed by car wash workers in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois resulted in a total settlement of $725,000. In all, 17 car wash employees joined the lawsuits against Grand Car Wash of Chicago. The workers claimed they were paid below the minimum wage rate for tipped employees and never paid overtime wages despite regularly working more than 40 hours per week. The car washers promptly reached early settlements after filing both suits.
