Pizzamaker Receives $85,000 Under Court-Supervised Consent Decree

A prominent Chicagoland pizza franchise entered into a court-supervised Consent Decree to pay a former pizzamaker $85,000. The cook, a loyal employee for 20 years, alleged that he worked as many as 92 hours per week for the pizza chain. He subsequently brought suit for his unpaid overtime wages and received his back pay plus additional damages. The firm received more than $86,000 in court-awarded attorney's fees for its work on behalf of the worker.
